We Made It!

We made it!

We moved from Dubai to Antwerp!!

Now it may appear glamorous, windswept and interesting to be doing an International move, and it is…….

…..however for someone who’s driving human need is Certainty (me..I am talking about me!) it is not a walk in the park!

We lived in four different places over the Summer before getting into our new apartment.

Three Airbnb’s, a hotel, with all of our belongings, a six year old and a dog (who got sick and ended up pooping in my suitcase! Did you see the post about it on my socials??)

Being in a new location with my sense of direction has made me super grateful for Kevin’s ability and willingness to explore! He has navigated all the tram trips and checking out our new home!

Sorting out logistics, phones, paperwork, furniture shopping, keeping Archie amused, being out of our routines and embracing all the changes has been stressful yet exciting as it is all driven by our decision to create a life that we want to live!

The parks, the weather, the markets, funky shops and people watching, proximity to Scotland (where we also travelled to for my wee brothers wedding so a few nights at my Mums then a few nights in a caravan were thrown into the mix too!) and the lovely people we have met so far are all filling my wee heart with happiness and alignment!

This week will see Archie starting at his new school which he is super excited about! We already met his teacher and she is lovely! Kevin embarked on his new position within the school last week and is feeling good so we are all happy campers!

In September there will be some new things happening within The Scottish Soul Sister so keep your eyes peeled for that!
